"SILENT COLONIALISM"

Silent Colonialism is a space of dialogue in which three short documentaries analyze projects related to mining and extractivism;
El Cerrejón coal mine in Colombia, lithium mining in Chile, and the Mayan Train Project in Mexico, will approach these cases from a decolonial perspective to problematize the power relations between the North and the Global South, taking a historical journey from the time of colonization of AbyaYala (Latin America) to the present: Globalization, the commodification of nature, and its relationship to climate change, revealing that these ecocidal and ethnocidal power relations between the Global North and South are still in effect.
